The QuantityReserved column on our bvc_ProductInventory table keeps growing. We are using BVC2015. The UnreserveQuantity stored procedure gets called when an order is completed or when a cart or line item in the cart is manually deleted. But it seems that when a customer leaves their cart for over a week and the cart cleanup process runs that deletes the cart, the UnreserveQuantity stored procedure does not run leaving the QuantityReserved column untouched.

Has this issue been resolved in a later release?

Do you recommend adding a call to this stored procedure in the cart cleanup process?

Was there a reason that this stored procedure call was left out of the cart cleanup process?

We've seen QuantityReserved issues like you describe in older versions, but we're not aware of such a problem in BVC 2020.

Two questions:

  1. Which inventory reserve mode are you using, Order Saved or Add to Cart?
  2. Are you doing anything special with your cart clean (e.g. manually running a SQL stored proc) or are you letting BVC manage the cart cleanup process?
