I set my cart cleanup to cleanup orders older than 2 days but when I send the cart abandonment email, and then I click the link to the cart, it is empty although the cart is only 1 day old.

What can I do to fix this? This could be related to carts being emptied mid order like we have talked about before.

You will only be able to see your cart if you click the email link from the same device where you created your cart. Carts are associated with cookies, not user accounts.
