Some existing customer either choose not to login or forget their associated user/pass. I would like to associate a new order with a existing account or be able to create a account for a customer after they have placed a new order.

BV Commerce 2013 includes a tool to combine duplicate customer accounts as well as the ability to automatically associate anonymous orders (orders placed without logging in) with the existing user account. However, we do not presently have a way to manually do this via the admin, though it can be done via SQL. |

How does the new tool work ? Does it match address, emails address etc?

Before you can use this functionality, however, you must first merge the duplicate accounts. Attached is a screenshot of the tool that performs the merge.
