                Google announced yesterday that they are starting to support RDFa formats for semantic searching. Yep, that sounds very technical. Basically, you can add special properties to your html tags that tell google what part of your page is a product review, price, etc. This is something that I'm very interested in including in BV Commerce. I think it has the potential to vault merchants above their competitors in the search engines.http://google.com/support/webma...y?hl=en&answer=99170 |

                It looks like you can add the supported properties OOTB via the templates?
 Wondering how in depth their supported properties will go.

 You could be aggressive and assign RDFa to a product property on the fly?

 Example:  My Cool Widget
 Property: Color
 Property: Weight
 Property: Caetgory > in this case, the widget is an iPod

 Product Properties List on page

 <ul>
 <li><strong>Color:</strong> <span property="v:color">Black</span></li>
 <li><strong>Color:</strong> <span property="v:weight">.2 oz.</span></li>
 <li><strong>Color:</strong> <span property="v:category">iPod</span></li>
 </ul>

                Micro formats are very cool. I'm glad to see Google making use of them. |

                wouldn't mind having identifiers easily picked up like:
 Manufacturer
 Brand
 UPC CODE
 OEM MFG#

 Would be great since a phone can scan a UPC code and fire back results.
