Will BV5 run with SQL 2000?
Will BV5 work with .NET 1.1 or only 2.0?

Will BV5 be friendlier working with a shared SSL?

Thanks

Shared SSL is not recommended.

So has anyone tried SQL 2000 Workgroup editon (which is essentially SQL 2005?)

Why is so much memory now recommended? Is that per site/per server or can one run multiple sites on a server if they are smaller and lower traffic....especially if using a seperate DB server?

That would be minimum RAM for a basic server, not per store.

Right - that is per server and assuming SQL is ran on the same machine as the web server you want at least the Recommended amount. Maybe you could get away with 500-1gig if you had your SQL on a seperate machine but with todays RAM prices there is no reason to not use 2+ Gigs.

Though the minimum is listed as SQL 2005, can it be shoehorned into SQL 2000? I would like to upgrade, but I do not think I can justify updating the SQL Server used by other systems.

BV Commerce 5 requires SQL 2005. It uses new SQL Query Language methods for paging that are only available in SQL Server 2005.
