*** Replaced by a newer version here: http://forums.bvcommerce.com/de...lt.aspx?f=84&m=62490

This is an updated version of the migration tool for moving from BVC 2004.7 to BV Commerce 5.4. This version was rewritten to work directly against databases, skipping the web services.

IMPORTANT: This version requires .net 3.5 to be installed.

USEAGE: Ideally, this tool would run directly on the SQL server where your live databases are located. Second best is on the same local network and the SQL server. Last best is remote.

INVENTORY OPTIONS: There is a new checkbox that you should use if you have disabled all inventory on your BVC 2004 store. The checkbox will make more your bvc5 store more efficient by choosing modifiers instead of choices during the import process. It will also guarantee non-inventory tracking products show up correctly on the new store.

I ran the migration this morning on a pretty decent sized catalog and so far everything looks great! Thanks for the upgrade Marcus!

I'm using 5.4.0.5 of the migration tool to migrate data from bvc 2004.7 to BVC5.4.0.5 and am getting errors that the line items are not being created. I have setup a demo version of BVc2004.7 with only 3 items/3 orders to test the migration. Anyone seen this?

Thanks,

Eric

Thanks Marcus.

I downloaded the latest version of the Migration tool, and found that it creates, some, but not all order lines. It looks like it is bombing out for order lines that have multiple packages. It is also not copying package information to BVC_OrderPackage.

Did anyone ever resolve this issue? I am having the same problem trying to get some archive data in BV5. Only on orders with multiple packages... or at least it seems.
