This is an updated version of the migration tool for moving from BVC 2004 to BV Commerce 5. This version was rewritten to work directly against databases, skipping the web services.

IMPORTANT: This version requires .net 3.5 to be installed.

USEAGE: Ideally, this tool would run directly on the SQL server where your live databases are located. Second best is on the same local network and the SQL server. Last best is remote.

SPEED: This version of the tool took about 50 minutes to transfer 200,000 products in our test. The previous version took 12 hours to bring over the same amount of products.

NEW: There is a new checkbox that you should use if you have disabled all inventory on your BVC 2004 store. The checkbox will make more your bvc5 store more efficient by choosing modifiers instead of choices during the import process. It will also guarantee non-inventory tracking products show up correctly on the new store.

NOTE: This tool has been replaced by the 5.4.0.5 version.

I have used this to import all the orders from a 2004 site to a bv5 site. The first time it brought over all the orders. Since then I have been unable to bring over any of the orders. In the log all orders say:
'Starting Convert,New Order is Converted,Skip Checks Done
Saving Order 34155
Order 34155 not created'
Is there some flag that is set? Are you not allowed to run multiple imports?
Thanks for your help
Jim

At "BVC 2004 Connection String" do I enter the actual database connection string? The text that is there is a URL. The same with BVC 5.
