                Hello,

Does anyone know if SSL is available and able to use on the BVC2004Lite Version??? (is it supposed to work with the Lite version (or) do you have to purchase the full Version for it to work???)Or is the

BVC2004Lite Version Disabled??? Everytime I enable SSL in BVC2004Lite Version and try to Login on a SecureURL I get redirect back to a UnsecureStandardURL. I have my store built with BVC2004Lite

Version, and have SSL Certificate Deployed and working. I wanted to test it out using SSL feature. Has anyone else ran into this problem??? Please Advise... Thank You

  Error Message I receive:

SSL is a server level feature...the software cannot enable or disable SSL. So the question, "Does anyone know if SSL is available and able to use on the BVC2004Lite Version?" does not make sense. [It is kind of like asking, "Is SSL available on apples?"]
Here is what I think is happening,
  1. Your IIS server (not BVC2004Lite) is configured to require SSL to access Login.aspx (or possibly the entire site). 2. BVC2004Lite is configured to use "http:" to access Login.aspx. 3. When you load "https://.../Login.aspx", the software redirects you to "http://.../Login.aspx". 4. When you load "http://.../Login.aspx", the server complains that you are trying to access a resource that is configured to require SSL.
  You have 2 choices,
  1. Change BVC2004Lite to stop redirecting from https to https. I'm not sure how to do this. There may be a setting in web.config. 2. Change IIS so that it does not require SSL to access the resource.
I would do #2 if it were my site. |
