Have implemented the PayPal Express payment option - when it transfers to PayPal, you do not get the option to pay by credit card - is this only available with paypal pro? Also, when PayPal redirects back to the shop url, it misses off the slash at beginning of url - so instead of www.shopurl.com/bvcommerce.... you get www.shopurl.combvcommerce... Any help appreciated?

found out myself -
1) paypal express does not give the credit card payments option for non PayPal accounts. You have to use PayPal Standard (html form posts) to get the credit card option or pay monthly subscription for PayPal Pro.
2) url missing slash - go to Admin - Options - Security and add a slash to the end of the urls in both "Site Standard Root" and "Secure Site Root". This will fix the PayPal express return url.
