Joe:

We didn't use Volume pricing in SF6. I also planned on, and already started creating new categories for BV.

Any other tips or things i need to look for when doing this?

Thanks
Dan

Did you just make backups of your DB's, and then do the import to your live DB? I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this properly.

Yes -- you can also imported into a local copy of SQL Express to test and then upload it and have it converted to SQL2005

So i just did this and seems to work fine! It did not import the SKU's it just put in seems like it used the SF6 Product ID #? IS it possible to import the SF6 Product Code for the SKU?

Also is there anyway to set the Display Template to default to the BV4 Layout?

Thanks
Dan

Dan,

Yes it automatically uses your SF ProdID for the SKU. You can set the default layout under Options, but I'm not sure if that would apply to an import. You can open the database and change them that way easier.

Joe:

I did find that on my second try? It worked great, I just need to load my images and sort out the categories.

Thanks BV that worked great.

I'm trying to use this to migrate from a SF6+ site (not sure of the exact version, StoreFront.dll version says 6.1.0.0). The Categories and Users all imported without issue but whenever I try to import products I get the following errors:

Conversion from string "" to type 'Date' is not valid.

Error during Migration.

Not sure where to look to follow up on this as far as logs etc, any ideas on where to start or what could be going wrong?

What did you guys do about importing the Orders from SF 6 database? You left the Orders behind in the SF6 database? Please advise.
Thanks,

satya,

Left behind orders and customer address info -- the only customer data that comes across are name and login info.

Thanks for letting me know Joe. I am currently working on importing the Orders from SF6 to BV5. Mapping is the only problem.
Thanks,
