UPS negotiated rates don't seem to be modify shipping price on my site. With the same package and address info, shipping to UK via UPS Worldwide Expedited shows $52.52 on UPS.com but $126.07 on my site. Are my settings right for this shipping method (see attached)?

I've got UPS looking into this. They actually said that the problem is probably on their end, having something to do with the account, and that it should be resolved by 9/7.

I don't recall whether UPS needs to make a change on your account for this to work or if that is FedEx. One thing you could try is changing the "Customer Classification" setting to "Daily Rates" and see whether that lowers the rates.

Changing to "Daily Rates" actually makes the cost only slightly less, but not 60% less like "Rates Associated with Shipper Number" would be. But if "Rates Associated with Shipper Number" is higher than "Daily Rates", I would think that means that no negotiated rates are retrievable from UPS. Is that thinking correct?

That seems like sound logic to me. Let's see what UPS says.

Here is their reply:

It seems that we are going to have to talk to the developer who handled the e-commerce features in the company website (BV Commerce). The process of updating the rates depends largely on how the UPS applications were set up when the website was created. The fastest route to get this straightened out would be if I am provided with direct contact information for the developer, that way I can have them speak directly with my technology specialist so that they can get the matter resolved between them. I can have my specialist work with him as early as today or first thing Monday. Thank You, Alfonso

So UPS has provided a new Access Key to be used with our website. This was emailed to you last week. Let me know when it is updated so that I can start offering negotiated rates.

I don't see that there is a place to include the Access Key at the Admin level but there is a radio button to use negotiated rates, "Rates Associated with Shipper Number". Would it make sense to have a field here for the Access Key?

The new key is now in place on your site. Please check to see whether you are now seeing the expected rates.

The API key is something that is automatically setup between BVC and UPS so it is not editable. There was an issue on UPS's end where they were apparently unable to enable negotiated rates for this access key so they manually generated a new one. What probably should have been done is to re-register through BVC to get a new access key.

I'm still not seeing negotiated rates. The rates are the same if I choose "Daily Rates" or if I choose "Rates Associated with Shipper Number". I had also cleared out browsing history and I tried an incognito browser window for good measure.

We finally got to the bottom of this with UPS support. When using negotiated rates they require additional data to be passed that they don't require in any other situation. This will require us to update our integration.

Excellent. I'm glad this got figured out. Can you give me an ETA on integration?

This will need to wait for the next BVC release. We do not currently have a release date for that.

We're still working on the next release, but it's not too far out. Stay tuned for an announcement.
