Hi.. I am not a .NET guy at all, more of a classic ASP guy but I have been trying to tinker with the BV 5 cart and I wanted to know where the best place would be to customize the footer. Currently I am using the Painted Paper theme that comes with BV.

I would like to have my footer look somiliar to the attached image and I think I can just do it by adding an HTML table with images and links to the Footer file that is under Controls folder in the Painted Paper theme.

Is there a better place or way to do this in BV or .NET for that purpose. I am not familiar with Master Pages either so any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, BVModules/Painted Paper/Controls/Footer.ascx is used for this purpose. If you need different or additional stuff in the footer area base on the section of the site you are in, you can also modify the footer section of the appropriate master page in your theme.

I'd highly recommend not using tables for layout purposes, but that's another subject altogether. :)

You can get more information about working with themes at http://www.bvsoftware.com/BVCom...s/CreateAThemePart1.aspx.

Yeah, unfortunately it's the way this forum is translating the URL, putting bold tags in there. Copy and paste it into the browser and it should work.
