We're transitioning to a different communication method with QuickBooks. Too many compatibility issues with various versions of windows and x64. Moving to a web service based system that is much more flexible. In the meantime we had a lot of support requests from people trying to do something the with source.

New system will be built into the web project of BV so, yes, source will come with BV.
