i am using bvc5 sp2.

QB export 3.11, configured to bvc5

i open up my qb file, then try the order export. when i click to send data to QB, i log in w/ the site credentials, and get the following error:

Could Not Start Quickbooks Error

I am using Quickbooks Pro 2007

from looking over other posts and looks like others are workign with this version of QB.

thoughts??? i need to get these in before the end of the year for taxes.

thanks
Marcus

Try starting QuickBooks first and in the export tool choose "use currently open quickbooks file."

We have had this same error before. Usually a reboot or two will fix it. However, I have one computer right now that used to work, but doesn't anymore. My own computers work fine every time.

I am going to try reinstalling the .net framework on that machine tonight, also because of some other issues it is having. I will everyone know what I find.

Upgraded to 3.13 on that "problem" computer. Fixed it up.

Version 3.13 of the QuickBooks tool includes an updated library module that might resolve the issue.

With BVC5 SP2, Connector 3.13, QB 2007 Pro & Vista Ultimate, I get the "Could not start Quickbooks" error when trying to Export Orders, regardless of whether I point to the appropriate QB file or let the Connector use the one that's open in QB. The Connector is configured to use BVC 5. Here's the error log.

Anybody have a solution - or even an idea?!

Thanks,

I guess you can do what we are having to do. Pay someone to type them in.

We tried something really simple and it worked! We turned UAC ON. Problem solved. No more "Could not start Quickbooks" and orders exported from BVC5 to QB 2007 Pro successfully. It's probably a requirement imposed by the Quickbooks SDK for Vista.
