We keep getting some jokers thinking they can enter a purchase order number... I think it would be productive to have an additional field in the "People" admin that is a checkbox with option to add a valid PO number. (Tax exempt for example)

When "Pay With Purchase Order" is selected, the system checks for valid PO number. If no # found

Having a customer sign up/apply for a purchase order number via the website is something that I don't think should be available OOTB. If it is, I think it should a 100% customizable form that a merchant can modify to fit their needs.
* I'm not sure how everyone here handles PO numbers but normally it's tied to a business. Not sure how to easily manage this if a customer has multiple purchase officers with different email addresses. Sometimes it's an order from X but shipping to Y, order from W but shipping to Z, but X & W are from the same business with a qualifying PO number.

Yep. I need to rework the whole PO process. I'm considering grouping payment options by user groups so that you can say "only these people can pay by PO"

Been thinking about it. Asked my client for a little more info on how they administer PO's.

One thought for functionality is a possible duplicate of how the Coupons/Discounts work.

1. Enter PO number

2. Assign qualifying accounts (covers the possible multiple users issue)

Could even take care of pricing variables within there as well if applicable?

Oh man I would love this... thats mostly what we do is POs with doctors and reps on the street. If they're used to it on the street, we better have something comparable on the internet.
