There would need to be a few controls here, but in order to get new products exposure on-par with other products, Cross Sells could be populated automatically.


The admin could choose that Cross Sells for products in certain categories be populated by some or all products in other categories. The placement of the products would be automatic and non-static as it is now.



Static placement of product(s) should be a choice, ie: Ski poles on a ski boots page. Of 3, 4, 5 Cross Sells, 1 could be static, the rest 'at random" from an approved list of categories.
