Hey,

I have transplaced a copy of the Flash Image Rotator code into my Header.acsx to provide a rotating image when the site is browsed. However when the page initially loads it shows blank for about 20 sec and then starts to cycle through the images. I have set the pause delay to 5 sec and can see nothing overally wrong with configuration as it worked perfectly fine outside of the header.acsx. Here is a copy of the inclusion. Any suggestions would be appreciated as ideally I dont want the first thing browsers see when they go to my site to be a blank space!

I tried using the included Flash image rotator and it just shows a black space. I have to click it before it starts. I'm not too familiar with Flash, hopefully someone can help us. :)

Yeah, its like if there is no post bakc or initialisation then it doens activate the control for a default period.. pretty weird because if I add it to the home page through the content then I have no problems. I want have the same look for the all pages and so would prefer if it was in the header as it makes life a little simpler!

Hopefully I can help you guys out on this...we'll see. Russel, exactly how did you "transplace" the rotator to the header? Did you just copy rendered HTML from elsewhere and paste it into the header or did you do something more complicated than that?
Angela, Does it matter what browser you use or does this happen all the time? If it happens all the time what file format are your banners?

As Im not overally familiar with Flash I basically copied the rendered HTML. Probably not the best way....

ok, let me take a look on my local copy and see if I can duplicate the conditions and see why it won't work...that may be the problem, sometimes you can get away with doing it that way, sometimes you can't

no worries - sorted it. not sure about the reason behind it but basically I found if I included the content column control in the header.ascx. i could then define a the content for the a new column called 'Flash Header' using the flash image rotator content block. Now allows me to add/remove banners and ordering as I please
