We are trying to run BV Commerce 5.8 as an application on IIS 7.5 and are experiencing problems getting the home page to load. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Check your application pool. Easy setup to try is go to advanced settings and enable 32 bit application support. Set to classic mode and make sure it is set for .net 2.0....... |

Which version of the .NET Framework do you have installed on the server? 3.5 SP1?

Set to classic mode and make sure it is set for .net 2.0....... Original setings for the AppPool were .net 2 and in Classic mode with 32bit apps set to true. We changed to integrated mode while working on another issue and didn't realize that, that was when the default document quit coming up. To clarify what we asked about; When going to the root "/", with a default document setting of default.aspx we would get a 404 error, but we could go to /default.aspx and the page would come up. Setting the pool back to classic fixed the default issue, now we will have to get everything else worked out. Thank you for the help.

We have tried building an application targeted at both 3.5 with a pool using 2.0, and 4.0 with a pool using 4.0 with the same results. Classic mode took care of the default document / extensionless url issue but we are still tracking down other problems so we may need to ask for your assistance again. Are there any other issues you are familiar with that would stop BV from working as an application rather than a website? We really need to run it as an app to be able to reference other projects in the same solution in Visual Studio.

You can still reference other projects running as a website. You are already if to look at the info section in admin. |

Are you saying that you converted the project type from a web site to a web app? That will not work with the plug-in system in BV 5 which compiles modules on the fly. That is a customization to the software that we don't support as is more than just a move to an IIS 7.5 server. It wasn't clear from the initial post that you changed the project type in Visual Studio.
