We launched a new services program and are creating our marketing material that features a URL for customers to view the full details. However, it seems that the page isn't accessible without the .aspx extension. How do we eliminate the need for the extension and still direct people to the correct page? The page in particular is a custom page, but if we can apply the principle to all of our pages, that would be perfect.

Gage,

The .aspx extension is required. For the purposes of your marketing materials you could always use the redirector to craft a shortened URL, including one without an extension, and then redirect that vanity URL to the actual URL of the page.

With the redirector, I have the "requested URL" as the URL without the .aspx, and the "redirect to URL" as the URL with the .aspx. After implementation of this, the URL without the .aspx still doesn't work. I have the status code as 302 and the page type as custom. Do I need to fill in something for the system data (bvin) and check the box for "Evaluate as Regex"?

Is the redirector enabled (Options >> Site Settings >> Redirector)? If it is, and as long as a file or folder of the same name does not exist, the redirector should catch it. If it doesn't, contact your developer or hosting company to ensure that your site and server are configured properly.
