Announcing ShipStation Integration with BV Commerce

With the release of BV Commerce 2015 SP2 we now provide full integration with ShipStation shipping software.

One of the most requested features for BV Commerce over the years was a better way to manage shipping. Specifically, printing shipping labels and then updating BV Commerce with the tracking number and shipping & order status. Out of the box BV Commerce provides label printing for UPS only, leaving the other real-time rate carriers that we support (i.e. FedEx, DHL and USPS) out in the cold. In addition, the UPS label printing cannot be done as a batch process. In other words, it's basic functionality that quickly breaks down as order volume climbs. Clearly a better solution was needed.

Rather than try to build this functionality into BV Commerce we set out to offer a simple, built-in integration with a great shipping solution from a company focused solely on shipping. We worked closely with two large-volume BV Commerce merchants during the evaluation and testing process. In the end ShipStation was the unanimous favorite and was selected for the following reasons:
